Bitumen Grade 60/70 is a standard Penetration Grade of Bitumen ASTM D946M, typically used as a Paving Grade Bitumen suitable for road construction and for the production of asphalt pavements with superior properties particularly in road and airport constructions and other similar applications.
Applications:
This grade of Bitumen (Bitumen Grade 60/70) is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses. Penetration Grades of Bitumen is produced from Vacuum Residue, which is blown by hot air in the Biturox Blowing Unit; The fully automated process runs continuously resulting in a constant and homogeneous finished product quality PNP’s Penetration Grade Bitumen can be supplied in any grade and are designated by two numbers to indicate the mid-points of their penetration ranges.
Handling and Storage
Handling:Bitumen Grade 60/70
Skin contact with the product should be avoided. Inhalation of fumes should be avoided as far as is reasonably practicable. If the formation of vapors is a risk, then additional ventilation should be provided. Handle away from sources of ignition and heat. Do not smoke, eat or drink during use.
Storage:
No special requirements. Asphalt is normally used upon receipt.Refer to the relevant Technical Data Sheet for the specific product.
Cleaning:
Tools: Clean with kerosene and gasoline.
Hands: Use a hand cleanser or kerosene followed by soap and water.
